The Carmi-White County boys basketball team had their season come to an end last night with a 73-47 loss against Vienna in the IHSA 2A Massac County Regional Semifinal.
The Bulldogs battled in the first half, but Vienna’s high-powered style of play became too much for the maroon & white in the 3rd quarter as the Eagles began to pull away.
It just wasn’t Carmi’s night, and Vienna rolled their way to another regional championship game appearance.
The Bulldogs finish the season with a 24-8 record, and it was another historic season.
The Bulldogs won the Black Diamond East for the 2nd consecutive season, they finished 3rd in the Eldorado Holiday Tournament and tied for a championship in the CWCIT.
Congratulations to coach Kevin Wolff and the Bulldogs on an outstanding season, and congratulations to seniors Landon Driscoll, Trey Dixon and Macen Haywood on outstanding careers.

Waltonville defeated Sesser-Valier 58-52
Okawville defeated Woodlawn 56-52.
Waltonvile and Okawville will battle in the regional championship game tomorrow night.
In the 1A Hardin County Regional,
Meridian defeated Galatia 84-58
Hardin County defeated Gallatin County 66-51
Meridian and Hardin County will play in the regional championship.
At the Edwards County 1A Regional,
Edwards County upset top-seeded Dietrich 67-62
CORL defeated Red Hill 75-44
Edwards County will face CORL in the regional championship.
In the 2A Massac County Regional,
Massac County took down Harrisburg 77-59
The Patriots will face Vienna in the regional championship.
In the 2A Breese Central Regional,
Breese Central defeated Nashville 42-31
Pinckneyville defeated Carlyle 48-40
Breese Central will face Pinckneyville in the regional championship.
At the West Frankfort 2A Regional,
Benton took down Hamilton County 64-38
Carterville defeated Murphysboro on a buzzer beater, 51-49
Benton will face Carterville in the regional championship.
At the Vandalia 2A Regional,
Robinson upset the top-seed Lawrenceville 52-37
Flora upset Fairfield 59-43
Flora and Robinson will battle in the regional championship.
