A win for Carmi will send them to the regional championship game.

The Carmi-White County boys basketball team picked up two big wins over the weekend, taking down Hamilton County 64-44 on Friday night, and then defeating Wayne City on the road on Saturday 57-44.

With that win against Hamilton County on Friday, Carmi clinched the Black Diamond Conference East championship for just the 3rd time in the last decade.

The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season this week with home games against Lawrenceville on Tuesday and Fairfield on Friday.
They will then begin regionals on Saturday at home against Anna-Jonesboro at 3 PM. If the Dogs win, they will travel to Harrisburg next Wednesday to face Vienna.

On Saturday, CWC Wrestlers Isaac King, Nelson Rider and Caleb Siebers wrestled at the 2A Carterville Sectional, unfortunately none of them were able to advance to the state tournament.

Congratulations to head coach Terry Gholson and the Bulldogs on a great season.
