The Carmi-White County boys basketball team defeated NCOE last night by a final score of 52-41. The Bulldogs led by just 7 at the half, but outscored the Fighting Cardinals 20-6 in the 3rd quarter to take a 44-23 lead into the 4th quarter. NCOE didn’t go away, the Cardinals kept chipping away and would eventually cut Carmi’s lead down to 11 as the final buzzer sounded.
The Bulldogs were led in scoring by Gavin Holloman who scored 18 points.
Landon Driscoll scored 13.
Mitchel Edwards scored 11.
Trey Dixon scored 4.
Kade Stockton and Hayden Sauls both scored 2.
The Bulldogs improve to 5-1 on the season, they will begin conference play on Friday as they travel to Flora.
The CWC Girls Basketball team will look to improve their conference record to 4-0 as they travel to Flora tomorrow night. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Fairfield 37-34 back on Monday.
The CWC Wrestling team will host Fairfield tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Bulldog wrestlers are 1-2 on the year as tonight will be their first conference meet.
