Back on Saturday the Carmi-White County Bulldog basketball team finished the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic after falling to Herrin 77-67 and defeating West Frankfort 48-42 to finish the tournament 3-1, good enough for 2nd place. Head coach Kevin Wolff was pleased from what he saw from his players in their 4 games played last week
Mitchel Edwards, Landon Driscoll and Bryce Conner were all named to the All-Tournament Team, Conner won Tournament MVP for the second straight year. The CWC Wrestlers took part in the Lawrenceville tournament on Saturday. Nelson Rider won the tournament championship in the 195 weight class. Jaxon Staton finished 6th in the 182 weight class, Caleb Seibers finished 5th in the 180 weight class, Layne Gwaltney finished 6th in the 152 weight class, Matthew Wilson took home 4th in the 120 weight class, Dylan Ackerman finished 4th in the 138 weight class, and Travor Mason finished 6th in the 113 weight class.
