The Carmi-White County boys basketball team defeated Chester back on Saturday 44-38 to bring home 3rd Place at the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic. The Bulldogs finish the tournament with a 3-1 record as they are now 4-1 on the season. They will travel to NCOE tonight and then to Flora on Friday.
The Carmi-White County girls basketball team will take on the Fairfield Lady Mules tonight at the friendly confines of McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs are 6-1 on the season as they are off to a 2-0 start in the Black Diamond Conference. Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
Back on Saturday the CWC Wrestling team took part in the Lawrenceville tournament.
Nelson Rider took home 1st place in the 190 weight class.
Travor Mason finished in 3rd place in the 113 weight class.
Gage Anderson finished 5th in the 106 weight class.
Konner Buchanan finished in 6th in the 215 weight class.
The Bulldog wrestlers will host Fairfield on Thursday.
