Back on Saturday, the Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team lost to Anna-Jonesboro in their final game of the Harrisburg Preview Tournament by a final score of 49-40. The Lady Bulldogs finished the tournament in 2nd Place after going 2-2 on the week. Torrie Rider, Caroline Simmons, and Addi Elliott were named to the All-Tournament team.
The Lady Bulldogs are 3-2 on the season, they will host two conference games this week, Hamilton County tomorrow and Eldorado on Thursday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will begin play in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic tonight as they take on Sparta at 5 PM. The Bulldogs are coming off a 55-34 win over Gallatin County last Tuesday.

Carmi will then play Sesser-Valier tomorrow at 8 PM, Herrin on Friday at 6:30 PM, then again on Saturday for 1st, 3rd, or 5th place.
In the IHSA Football State Finals from this past weekend, 7 of the 8 State Championship games were won by private schools. The only public school to win a state title this weekend was East St. Louis, as they brought home their 11th IHSA State Championship.
