The Carmi-White County boys basketball team went 1-1 over the weekend, defeating the Hamilton County Foxes 44-33 on Friday night, and then falling to Benton 54-22 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sit at 7-2 with a 2-0 Black Diamond Conference record. They will have quite some time off, they won’t play again until a week from tomorrow as they take on NCOE in the first round of the Eldorado Holiday Tournament next Tuesday at 8:30 PM.
The Carmi-White County girls basketball team will host Mt. Carmel tonight at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium in a battle of two of the best teams in southern Illinois. The Lady Bulldogs come into tonight’s game with a 10-1 record, meanwhile Mt. Carmel is 9-2 on the season. Fans who can’t attend tonight’s game can watch and listen on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. The Lady Bulldogs will then wrap up the first half of the season tomorrow night as they host Evansville Bosse.
