The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog volleyball team will begin the 2024 season tonight as they travel to Mt. Carmel.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off the greatest season in CWCHS history as they went 33-9 last year, which featured a regional championship, sectional championship, super-sectional championship, and a 4th Place finish at the IHSA State Finals.
The Lady Bulldogs will then play their first home match tomorrow night at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium as they host Edwards County. Fans will be able to watch tomorrow’s match on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
The CWC Girls Tennis team will also begin their season today under new head coach Robin Winters. The Lady Bulldogs will host Salem at Bradshaw Park at 4 PM.
Over the weekend, the Carmi-White County junior high softball team took part in the Fairfield Crossover Tournament. The Lady Bullpups went 1-2, losing to New Hope and Mt. Carmel, and defeating Allendale.
The Jr. High softball and baseball teams will travel to Fairfield this afternoon.
The Carmi-White County Jr. Pro football teams hosted Christopher on Saturday.
The 5th & 6th grade team fell by a final of 38-12.
The 7th & 8th grade team improved to 2-0 with a 46-0 win.
Both teams will travel to Edwards County this Saturday.
