The 2024 Carmi-White County High School Fall Sports Preview will take place on Thursday, August 22nd, and it will look much different than it has in years past.
In prior years, the fall sports preview has been held on Fridays, with the introduction of fall sports athletes followed by a scrimmage from the CWC Football team.
With the IHSA implementing a new rule for the 2024 season, allowing teams to participate in 11-on-11 scrimmages before the beginning of the regular season, the Bulldogs will travel to Red Hill on that Friday, August 23rd for a scrimmage with the Salukis.
So instead of fans getting a sneak peak on this year’s football team, they will have a chance to see the Lady Bulldog Volleyball in action before their first match.
The Lady Bulldogs are coming off the best season in school history, finishing in 4th Place at the IHSA 2A State Finals last November. Chris Lucas is bringing back nearly the entire squad from last year, and they look to pick up right where they left off.
The Fall Sports Preview will begin at 7 PM on Thursday, August 22nd. Fans who can’t attend will be able to watch on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
