The Carmi-White County junior high softball team took part in the Marion Invitational Tournament over the weekend, and the Lady Bullpups went 2-2.
In Game 1, they fell to Anna 8-4.
In Game 2, they defeated Elverado 11-2.
In Game 3, they defeated Johnston City 9-0.
In the Consolation Championship, they fell to Goreville 8-0.
The Lady Bullpups are 2-3 on the season, they will travel to Olney today as will the junior high baseball team.
Back on Saturday the Carmi-White County Jr. Pro Football teams kicked off their seasons with wins over Vienna.
5th & 6th grade won by a final score of 20-12.
7th & 8th grade won by a final score of 56-20.
The Jr. Pro Bulldogs will be back in action this Saturday night when they host Christopher.
The CWCHS Golf teams will play their first home match of the season today, as the boys take on NCOE and the girls face Massac County.
This Thursday is the annual CWCHS Fall Sports Preview. All fall sports athletes will be recognized, and the night will be capped off with a scrimmage from the CWC Volleyball team. Fans who can’t attend will be able to watch on the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
