Back on Tuesday, the Carmi-White County Junior High softball team fell to Carterville by a final score of 6-5.
The Lady Bullpups fell behind 5-0 early, but they battled back to tie it, scoring 5 runs in the 3rd inning. Carterville plated one in the 4th inning, and that would be all they needed to come away with the win.
Addie Courson, Maci Martin, Sophia Johnson, Aerielle McWhirter, and Alyssa Courson all picked up base hits in the loss.
The Lady Bullpups will be back in action this afternoon as they travel to Mt. Vernon, Illinois. The junior high baseball team will also play at Mt. Vernon, Illinois today in their first game of the season.
The CWCHS Boys and Girls Golf Teams will tee off their seasons today at the Mt. Carmel Invitational.
