Yesterday was the official first day of practice for IHSA schools, which means the CWCHS fall sports teams can finally begin official preparation for the 2024 season.
The CWC Boys & Girls Golf teams aren’t wasting any time to begin competition, they will travel to Mt. Carmel on Thursday for the annual Mt. Carmel Invitational.
The Carmi-White County junior high baseball and softball teams however already have a couple of weeks of practice under their belt, as they begin play this week.
The Lady Bullpups will travel to Carterville today and then Mt. Vernon (IL) on Thursday, while the Bullpups will also travel to Mt. Vernon (IL) on Thursday.
This will be the first season under new head coaches for JH Baseball & Softball, Mike Zaranti takes over as softball coach and Travis Black takes over as baseball coach.
The Bullpups and Lady Bullpups will play their first HOME games of the year next Tuesday against Eldorado.
