The Carmi-White County baseball and softball teams both hosted Hamilton County yesterday afternoon, and both teams came away victorious.
The Bulldog baseball team played a doubleheader against the Foxes, making up for Tuesday’s rainout, and it was an afternoon of domination for the Dogs. Carmi won game one 14-4 and then won game two 12-0.
The Bulldogs are now 11-0 on the season, they will travel to Mt. Vernon, Indiana this afternoon to make up a game that was supposed to be played on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will then host Vienna tomorrow for a doubleheader.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Hamilton County yesterday 4-3 in 11 innings.
Carmi tied the game at 3 in the bottom of the 6th inning on an RBI triple by Mara Serafini.
The game went into extra innings and neither team could score in the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th, but Serafini won the game with a walk-off solo home run.
The Lady Bulldogs improve their record to 8-3 on the season, they will travel to Vienna today and then take part in the Harrisburg tournament tomorrow.
