The Carmi-White County softball team had their 5-game win streak come to an end yesterday with a 7-5 loss at Hamilton County.
The Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the top of the 3rd inning, but Hamilton County answered with 3 in the same inning to take a 4-3 lead.
Carmi scored 1 in the 5th to tie the game at 4, and they would score again in the 7th to take a 5-4 lead. The Lady Foxes tied the game in the bottom of the 7th with a solo home run, and they would win it in the bottom of the 8th on a 2-run walk off home run.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 7-3 on the season, they will host Hamilton County this afternoon at Archie Brown Field.
The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team was supposed to travel to Mt. Vernon, Indiana yesterday afternoon, but that game was postponed until tomorrow. The Bulldogs will play a doubleheader this afternoon at Hamilton County for their first conference action of the season.
