The Carmi-White County Bulldog baseball team is scheduled to travel to Hardin County this afternoon, weather permitting. The Bulldogs have won 5 of their last 8 games as they currently stand in 2nd Place in the Black Diamond Conference with an 8-11 overall record and a 5-3 conference record. They will play a conference series with Fairfield next Tuesday and Thursday.
The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog softball team will travel to Robinson tomorrow afternoon. The Lady Dogs went 3-1 this week, defeating Eldorado twice and West Frankfort by a combined score of 34-2. Carmi currently sits in first place in the BDC with a 12-7 overall record and a 7-1 conference record.
Regional seedings and schedules for both baseball and softball are expected to be released by the IHSA early next week.
The Carmi-White County boys tennis team will host Marion this afternoon for senior night, as the Bulldogs will honor their 6 seniors. Then tomorrow, Chris Courty and the Bulldogs will travel to Greenville to battle Chris’ oldest son, Sean Courty, who is the head coach of the Greenville tennis team.
