The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog softball team fell at home yesterday afternoon to Mt. Vernon (IN) by a final of 5-2.
Carmi led 2-1 after 3 innings of play but a 4-run 4th inning from the Wildcats fueled them to the win.
At the plate,
Addi Elliott went 2-3.
Alayna Johnson went 1-4.
Mara Serafini went 1-4 with a run scored.
Caroline Simmons went 2-3 with 2 RBI and a home run (1).
Kadie Simmons went 1-3.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 9-7 on the year.
The CWC Softball and Baseball teams will play doubleheaders today at Eldorado. The two teams were supposed to play at home on Thursday against Eldorado, but with rain in the forecast, both baseball and softball will play two games today in Eldorado.
Fans can listen to the first baseball game on 97.3 FM WRUL at 4 PM.
The CWC Boys Tennis Team will host Mt. Carmel and the CWC Girls Track team will travel to DuQuoin today.
