The Carmi-White County Lady Bulldog softball team defeated Mt. Vernon (IN) yesterday afternoon by a final score of 5-0. 

Audrey Upton pitched all 7 innings, allowing just 3 hits with 15 strikeouts. Upton has struck out 64 batters in her last 5 games.

At the plate,
Mara Serafini went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.
Mia Evans went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Kadie Simmons went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Alayna Johnson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run.
Caroline Simmons went 2-for-3 with a solo home run.

The Lady Bulldogs have won 5 in a row and 8 of their last 9 games to improve their record to 15-4.

They were set to host Eldorado this afternoon, but that game has been canceled due to Eldorado not having enough players. Their game scheduled for Thursday at Eldorado has also been canceled. The Lady Dogs will host West Frankfort tomorrow.

The Carmi-White County baseball team looks to end their 3-game losing streak today as they host Eldorado at Eckerle Park. Fans can listen to today’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL, with first pitch set for 4:30 PM weather permitting. 

The Carmi-White County boys tennis team traveled to Henderson County (KY) yesterday. The Bulldogs fell to Henderson County 6-3, but they defeated Union County 9-0.

Carmi was set to face Mt. Carmel today, that match has been moved to Thursday.
