HARRISBURG, Ill. (Feb. 2, 2021) – Zach Kempfer of Nashville, Illinois, signs his intent to compete with the Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers and the SIC Baseball team this fall.
Kempfer is currently a member of the White County Archery Team, and his coach is pleased to see him continue the sport.
“It was a great honor to see one of our team members being able to further his education with the help of this program,” said White County Archery coach Mike Westfall. “The S3DA Program gives these kids the opportunity to not only participate in indoor and outdoor competition, but also gives them a chance to earn scholarships to help further their education. Everyone here at White County Archery is very proud of Zach and his accomplishments, and we wish him the best as he moves forward in his studies and his life.”
SIC head archery coach Ricky Sauls added, “Zach is going to be a good addition to the SIC Archery team. He is very driven and a team player that wants to help the team both on the range and on the field.”
According to SIC head baseball coach Jeremy Irlbeck, Kempfer will play baseball for the Falcons as a right-handed pitcher and infielder.
“We are very excited about Zach coming to join us next year,” said Irlbeck. “He comes from a baseball community in Nashville, Illinois, and we think he can come here and compete at a high level.”
