A trio of Carmi White County alums are working hard to make Carmi a healthier community. Dalton Bartley, Dr. Lukas Matsel, and Meagan Drone addressed the Carmi Kiwanis Club Thursday to educate the club on what they do and how they’re waging a war against sedentary lifestyles. Drone, a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Bartley, a Registered Occupational Therapist, and Matsel, a doctor of Physical Therapy all work in complementary styles of therapy. Drone spends a lot of her time with home health; Bartley works mostly upper body injuries and issues, while Matsel concentrates on lower body and orthopaedic struggles. They all are working towards the same goal with patients however.
The group plans to work in tandem with the Guardian Center’s Candy Corn Run which kicks off Corn Day. Matsel will be participating in the run. The staff will be handing out water at a recovery station.
