Illinois State Police District 19 responded to a single vehicle personal injury traffic crash Saturday night around 10:00 p.m. on I-64 Eastbound at mile post 107. 57 year old Donald G. Drtina of Alburnett, Iowa was traveling eastbound on I-64 in the right hand lane in his 1998 Kenworth. A tree had fallen across both lanes and Drtina was unable to stop before colliding with the tree. Tree branches penetrated the windshield injuring Drtina. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
