The Illinois Principals Association (IPA) hosts an annual Student Recognition Breakfast to honor those students who work hard in school and demonstrate positive character traits. The breakfast was held at the Mt. Vernon (IL) Double Tree on March 5, 2020. Over 200 people were in attendance to honor the students, their families, and the principals that serve them. Former NFL football player Anthony Hargrove was the guest speaker for the event. New this year, was the presentation of two competitive scholarships awarded to seniors planning to earn a degree in education. One of those scholarship recipients was Carmi’s Alexis Conner. It was an honor for the principals to recognize all of these great students!
