Hydrant Flushing Begins Tonight
It happens every year and this year is no exception.
The City of Carmi will begin its fire hydrant flushing tonight (Tuesday) September 26, 2023.
Flushing will occur nightly, Tuesday through Friday, from 12am-5am. The process will last through October 31, 2023.
During those times, customers may experience low water pressure or discolored water.
This City of Carmi apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, but explained the flushing is done as a precautionary measure.
