City of Carmi workers will be working during off peak hours soon to begin regular hydrant flushing. Residents of the city can expect the flushing to occur between the hours of 1am and 5am beginning Monday, May 10th. During the subsequent 6 weeks Tuesdays through Fridays, officials say it’s possible and somewhat common that residents might experience low water pressure or even a slight discoloration of the water. Again, hydrant flushing in Carmi is expected to begin May 10th and if the 6 weeks expected holds, should be completed around June 18th.
