Now in it’s 18th year, the Huck’s Karing for Kids program aims to make Christmas special for children who are less fortunate and to give back to the communities the stores serve. In addition to Christmas, the program also provides funds and relief for families with children undergoing medical treatments, disaster relief, scholarships and other ways including local charities, Special Olympics, and St. Jude.
In 2023, Huck’s raised over a quarter of a million dollars which will make more than 1,900 children’s Christmas a bit brighter. Fundraising is done through corporate sponsorships, rummage and bake sales, as well as innovative ideas at each store location inviting local patrons to play a major role in success through donations. Hucks says 100% of the proceeds raised at each store stays in that market.
