Heil Turns Self In on Warrants Following Alleged Violent Outburst

A Norris City man is behind bars after turning himself in on multiple White County warrants Wednesday afternoon.  Norris City Police Chief Dustin Dale says an officer with his department was dispatched to Kelly’s Quick Stop in reference to a domestic dispute call.  Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Ashley Heil who stated her husband, 43 year old John Heil had struck her in the head with a hammer and choked her.  The officer noted several wounds on her head and red marks around her throat.  The officer says at the time, Heil fled the scene in a black Nissan rental.  Heil has been charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Domestic Battery including a count for use of a deadly weapon.  The other warrant was a No Bond warrant for Violation of Bond order.  Heil had been arrested in September of last year with 5 charges including Aggravated Battery with Use of a Deadly Weapon, Intimidation, Domestic Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Obstruction of Justice for destroying evidence.  Heil is in White County court for a first appearance this morning.
