Harrisburg schools will close due to what Superintendent Mike Gauch calls “the severe impact of illness on students and staff in the district”. Guach says maintenance staff will be using the time to give a thorough cleaning and disinfect buildings. He says the hope is that the measure and a long weekend will allow the virus to run its course and for students and faculty to be back at full strength come Monday, February 10th.
