A pair of Harrisburg individuals are behind bars in Posey County after being arrested by Mt. Vernon Police Wednesday night. Officer Karlee Eickhoff stopped a red truck just after 10pm for speeding along State Route 62 at State Street. A search of the vehicle ended up producing a handful of loaded needles, marijuana oil, plastic baggies with suspected meth, pot, scales and a glass smoking pipe. A field test would reveal the crystal substance was meth mixed with fentanyl. A warrant check would allow officers to discover the passenger in the vehicle, 29 year old Miranda Key was wanted on 3 Illinois warrants for possession of meth. She and the driver of the vehicle, 26 year old Matthew Carroll were arrested and booked into the Posey County Jail.
