Harness Racing Highlights Tuesday Night at the White County Fair

The Big 10 2 year old champ from 2021 kept on rolling to kick off Harness Racing at the 143rd annual White County Fair Tuesday night.  Aqua’s Bud driven by Darla Lohman ran away with the 3 year old trot in the first race of the evening in a time of 2:06 and 4/5.  3 year old filly’s were paced by AniemayBombay driven by Cornelius Cavett covering the mile in 2:05 4/5.  A winner at Wayne County recently, No Way Bombay was piloted by Danarius Dortch and took the 3 year old Colt/Gelding pace by 5 lengths in a time of 2:03 2/5.  Marcus Turner drove Jammin High from the outside to win the 4th race, the 2 year old trot, division 1 in a time of 2:13 1/5.  Division 2 was taken by TankMeToDennyland.  The horse looked beaten twice and battled back after breaking stride once and then veering off course to begin the final lap before rallying on the final turn and still turning in a time of 2:10 3/5.  The Dennis Gardner driven horse will now head to the Illinois State Fair where he’ll attempt to correct mistakes and come away with a $40,000 purse.  Rocket Party took race 6, a competition between 2 year old pacers in the most exciting race of the evening.  Rocket Party turned in a time of 2:07 2/5 and rallied by a neck to win after trailing the entirety of the race.  Freddie Patton Jr. also walked away with a win in the final race of the evening behind a great effort from Frontier Manard in the Open Trot.  Frontier Manard covered the mile in 2:10 2/5.
