The White County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a burglary to a Springerton business on Saturday morning. Billy Harl reported that overnight on Friday, someone had broken into Harl’s Station at 107 E North Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found the front door had been kicked in and split in half.
Inside, thieves broke into the knife case, taking approximately 50 knives. Also noted missing were ten cans of chewing tobacco and 20 lighters. All the drawers were reported to have been rummaged through as well.
Deputies gathered evidence from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
