A 36-year-old McLeansboro man has been sentenced to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Floyd D. Hargrave was in White County court Monday morning for sentencing. He was arrested by Carmi PD back on March 22 for being in possession of methamphetamine along with charges of Improper Use of a Vehicle and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. In court, the lesser two charges were dropped as per a plea deal in return for a guilty plea for the Class 3 felony charge of Possession of Meth. Following his time in jail, Hargrave will also serve a year of mandatory supervised release.
