Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) is pleased to welcome Brian Sloan, M.D. to the care team at McLeansboro Family Clinic where he will provide acute/urgent care visits.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, Dr. Sloan went on to complete his medical degree and residency in emergency medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Sloan is a board-certified emergency physician by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Sloan then furthered his medical education with a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Indiana in 2001. For more than 20 years, he served as faculty physician at Indiana University Emergency Medicine at Wishard Hospital and the Sydney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital both in Indianapolis.
Dr. Sloan has held and received numerous professional teaching positions, service honors and awards including the Indiana University Emergency Medicine “Faculty Teacher of the Year” award and most recently, the Indiana University School of Medicine “Trustee Teaching Award.”
His practice at Hamilton Memorial Hospital McLeansboro Family Clinic will include acute and urgent care visits weekly, Monday through Wednesday. Typical urgent care visits include the treatment of issues such as:
-abdominal pain – rashes
– abscesses – sore throat
– allergic reaction – sports-related injuries
– animal bites – toothache
– burns – upper respiratory complaints
– chest pain under 35 years of age – urinary tract infection
– ear complaints – wheezing
– fever
– lacerations/cuts
– musculoskeletal injury

Dr. Sloan will be joining McLeansboro Family Clinic located at 611 S Marshall Ave. in McLeansboro, Illinois on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
McLeansboro Family walk-in weekend clinic is open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
