The Hamilton County Board will meet Tuesday at 6:00 PM in the upstairs courtroom of the Hamilton County Courthouse in McLeansboro. The Board will hear reports from Sheriff Lakin, who will also discuss a vehicle purchase, Clint Hopfinger, Supervisor of Assessments, Nathan Taylor, EMA Director, Dorothy Smith with the ETSB Board, Monica Tucker with the Illinois South Tourism Board, Chad May with Connnect Illinois Infrastructure,and a representative from Bellwether LLC, who will also be discussing Smart Watt, Animal Control, and Emergency Services. The Board will accept checks from the Hamilton County Extension, Hamilton County Health Department, and the City of McLeansboro, review and approve the 2020 Standard Mileage Rate of 57.5 cents, discuss the Hamilton County Coal Royalty Report, and Approve the Agreement from the University of Illinois Extension requesting funding. New business will include approval of the Ambulance Service Contract, Review/Approve an ordinance for solar energy farm installation in unincorporated Hamilton County and a request for solar farm construction permit, review and approve the Claims and Late Claims list, approve the 2020 Certification and Commitment request for the Illinois South Tourism Board, approve the appointment of Beth Sandusky to the Hamilton County Economic Development Council and approve the re-appointment of David Fagan to a 5 year term expiring February 28th, 2025. Reminder, the March 17th regular Hamilton County Board meeting has been moved to Thursday, March 19th. Highway meeting will be at 5:15 pm in the jury room next to the Highway Department and the regular meeting will be at 6:00 pm in the courtroom. February 25th there will be a 2020 Town Hall meeting at 6:00 pm at Laborers Local 1197 Union Hall on Market Street in Mcleansboro for the purpose of Public Safety Tax Referendum Awarness. Also on Tuesday, February 25th will be 2020 Mandatory Sexual Harassment Training for all employees of Hamilton County Government. Kyle Shell from IPMG, Hamilton County’s liability insurance carrier, will conduct 2 Sexual Harassment Training classes at 10:00 am and 11:00 am in the courtroom. Certification will be issued upon completion of the training. Christine Fine, IMRF field representative wil be on site Monday, February 24th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
