Hamilton County Arrests Made

A Hardin County man is due in Hamilton County court October 2nd following his arrest in rural Dale on August 17th.  Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint of someone trespassing in the area and later found Johnny Tipton of Elizabethtown hiding in the woods.  He was subsequently arrested and allegedly found with meth on his person leading to charges of Unlawful Possession of the drug.

 

Hamilton County authorities arrested 44-year-old Rory Gibson of Broughton August 30th.  Sheriff Tracy Lakin placed Gibson in cuffs and he’s facing charges of Domestic Battery for violence against a family member.  Judge Melissa Morgan presided over a detention hearing on September 4th.  Gibson was released under pretrial conditions and is now scheduled for formal arraignment on November 6th.

 

35-year-old Samantha Pauls of Macedonia is free after an altercation on August 31st in Hamilton County.  Pauls was arrested and facing charges of Aggravated Battery, Domestic Battery, and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon according to States Attorney Justin Hood.  She had a first advisement on September 4th and was given Pre Trial release.  Pauls has a preliminary hearing set for Wednesday, September 18th.

 

Illinois State Police arrested Williamson and Jackson County women Wednesday, September 4th in Hamilton County.  Officers picked up 46-year-old Crystal Kilman of Herrin and 43-year-old Casey Kistler of Carbondale and charged them both with Possession of Meth and Unlawful Use of Property.  Kilman was seen before a judge the next day, released under pretrial conditions and now has a preliminary hearing set for September 18th.  Kistler is due for a first appearance on November 6th.
