A Carmi man is behind bars following his arrest around a quarter after 4pm Thursday. Carmi officers took 44 year old Robert Grogan of Cora Street into custody on a Failure to Appear warrant at the corner of Sycamore and 6th Street. The original charges date back to 2020 when Grogan was originally accused of Possession of Meth and also Possession of a Controlled Substance. The meth charge was dismissed in a plea deal and Grogan was given probation, community service, and a stayed jail sentence.
