A 22 year old Grayville man, Justin T. Rhodes, was arrested by Carmi Police Monday night around 9:56 PM for DUI at Burrells Woods after driving his car into the pond. Rhodes was issued citations for DUI of Alcohol, BAC of .08 or more, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. He is currently lodged in the White County Jail on $100 bond. Chief Jason Carter and the Carmi Police Department would like to thank Fairfield Rural Fire Department for the use of their Dive Team to hook up the fully submerged vehicle so that it could be towed by S&E Auto.
