Grayville City Council to Meet Monday

The Grayville City Council will meet Monday at 7:00 P.M.

 

Due to COVID-19 guidelines, attendance is limited to the members of the Council, Clerk, Treasurer, City Attorney and news media. The public is invited to watch the meeting on Facebook live at facebook.com/cityofgrayville.

 

In keeping with COVID Mitigation Guidelines, anyone wishing to address the council in person will be asked to notify the City Clerk prior to the meeting. Those persons may be asked to remain outdoors or in their vehicle until the appropriate agenda item comes up for discussion.

 

Questions or comments from the public can also be submitted in writing, including name and contact information to the City Clerk by 4:00 P.M., Monday. Questions or comments can be submitted by email to: [email protected]; by fax to 618-375-7869; or by calling City Hall at 618-375-3671. Comments and questions will be read into the record during the appropriate public comment time.

 

Following reports from the Treasurer, Police Chief, Utility Manager, City Attorney, Commissioners, and the Mayor, questions and comments from visitors, and a review of temporary executive powers and disaster declaration, there will be an Executive Session to discuss the purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, including meetings held for the purpose of discussing whether a particular parcel should be acquired, and pending, probable or imminent litigation.

 

Old business to be discussed includes the Liquor Ordinance Amendment, an electric upgrade for the campground, zoning considerations for 209 S. Court Street – McPherson Outdoors, Municipal Ordinance Violations and the collection of fines, a 2nd reading of Ordinance No. 908 amending the Zoning Code to add Special Use to the R-2 District and setting a Public Hearing date in regard to that amendment, the swimming pool, and a 1st reading of Ordinance No. 909 Planting trees, shrubbery or other flora on a public right of way.

 

New business will include a review of the Sick-Leave Policy regarding COVID-19 and a request for TIF # 1 funds for building preservation.
