The City of Grayville will hold the second of their May City Council meetings on Monday the 22nd. Before the 7 o’clock meeting, there will be a Motor Fuel Tax bid letting followed by a public hearing on the sale of property at 6:30.
Old business concerns the water filtration plant; a request to vacate an alley in Martin’s Addition; the swimming pool; sale of excess equipment by sealed bid (open mower bids); amend the traffic code for no trucks; regulation of solicitors and peddlers; approve a TIF agreement for Angie Sharp of Outcast Airbrush; a request from Horizon Hospitality for additional TIF #1 funds; a request for TIF #1 funding from Brent Speir; a Beautification Committee report for depot improvements; and downtown benches.
In new business is awarding a Motor Fuel Tax program bid; an update on the FY 4/30/23 budget; a Friends of Grayville request for a donation and street closure; a Grayville Moose Lodge request for a Special Event Liquor License; a request for a TIF grant and loan agreement for acquisition and demolition; request for a TIF grant from First Christian Church; amending the Fireworks Code; speed reduction signs; and a speed bump for Memorial Park.
The Consent Agenda will be approved; there will be a report from the Treasurer; Purchase Order approvals; recognition of visitors; plus reports from the Engineer, Police Chief/Utility Manager, City Attorney, Commissioners and the Mayor.
And an Executive Session may be held.
