A rural Carmi woman is behind bars following her arrest by Carmi Police just after 9:30 Thursday night. Police say 36-year-old Jayla Goff was pulled over at 6th and Elm and subsequently arrested. She’s being charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer after a vehicle pursuit. Goff was also wanted on a White County warrant for Retail Theft that stems from a mid-October of last year arrest. Online court records don’t yet indicate when she’s due before a judge.
