Ladies, dig out your flapper dresses, grab some long necklaces, long gloves, and a headpiece. Fellas, it’s time to don black tie done the jazz way. Carmi is set to celebrate 100 years of Kiwanis at this October’s Corn Days observance with a centennial memorial. Thursday, the club voted on this year’s theme and it’s being unveiled as “The Roaring 20’s: Cheers to 100 Years of Carmi Kiwanis”. Floats will be judged on the theme during the parade.
We also know the Friday entertainment will feature laughs. Kiwanis Club President Emily Williams says the main stage will be highlighted on the opening night by the Clean Comedy Collective, a group of comics from Nashville, Tennessee that produce clean comedy shows.
The club will hold it’s internal 100 year birthday party on July 13th.
