Gallatin County government offices won’t be observing Juneteenth. Warren Rollman, an outspoken board member made the motion at Thursday night’s monthly board meeting approving the 2025 Courthouse Holiday Schedule minus the Thursday, June 19th observance. When questioned, Rollman didn’t hold back.
Well for one, we’ve already got too many holidays. And two, it’s a fake holiday created by Democrats to pander to black voters. Just the facts, we all know that’s why it happened. They were trying to get black people to continue to vote for them. That’s why they did that.
The rest of the board approved the calendar except for Lisa Coonse who voted no.

October 18, 2024 at 4:16 pmThis bill was cosponsored by two Republicans and two Democrats and passed in the Republican controlled house. I believe all Americans should observe the end of slavery. It is hard to believe this is a issue in 2024…

October 18, 2024 at 10:13 pmThis recording appears to show that ignorance and racism are alive and well in Gallatin County. I hope the residents of the county will speak up and show the world that this is not the case. It is a shame that an uninformed member was able to influence the other members. Kudos to the member who did not agree.
