Friday Night Crash Sends Albion Man to Hospital

An Albion man is recovering after he was struck late Friday evening on Highway 45.  White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss says it was just before 11:30pm when Aaron Summers of Norris City struck Joe Harrison of Albion on Highway 45 about a half mile north of County Road 1000 North.  According to the release, Harrison was outside of his vehicle which was parked on the side of the roadway without reflectors or cones and not wearing reflective clothing.  Summers indicated he didn’t see the vehicle or Harrison.  The Albion man was transported to Fairfield Memorial Hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.  Sheriff Weiss says citations weren’t issued on scene but anticipates writing tickets.
