A community tradition will continue this Thanksgiving as organizers prepare for the annual Carmi Thanksgiving meal. The free Thanksgiving meal will be held on the holiday from 11am – 1pm at the First Christian Church on the corner of Plum and Bohleber. Meals will be served at the church for anyone who wants to drop by. Home deliveries are also available or transportation to the church can be provided. You do need to let organizers know ahead of time so they can ensure they have enough meals. However you’ll be participating, you’re asked to call 618-382-8082 by Tuesday, November 21st in order to make sure food, space, and transportation can be arranged. The annual Free Thanksgiving Meal is a combined effort of churches, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals within the Carmi community.
