Fairfield Memorial Hospital hosted a Region 5 Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) workshop. This workshop was designed to enhance the pediatric care provided in the Region’s Hospital Emergency departments. Nearly 50 hospital professionals were in attendance for this specialized training.
Through this program, Fairfield Memorial Hospital has been awarded a special designation recognizing the hospital for having all the proper equipment, knowledge, and training to provide enhanced Emergency Pediatric Care.
Katherine Bunting-Williams, Ph.D., FMH CEO, states, “This special designation and training is so extremely important for all hospitals. It was a privilege to host and support the program for the area hospitals to ensure this level of care is provided to our children. Parents can be rest assured that Fairfield Memorial Hospital is ready and prepared to help their child should any emergency situation presents.”
