Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s provides weekly updates in order to share information with the public as progress continues to be made on our Expansion Project.
During the week of December 14th the work in progress this week has been a continuation of the past several weeks. The drywall contractor has nearly completed the metal studs and sheathing on the East elevation and is continuing around the building on the South wall. On the interior of the building our spray fireproofing contractor is working on the third floor and will drop down to the second floor in the near future. The mechanical and electrical trades are completing their supports on floors 1 and 2 and are also starting to install some electric conduit and piping on the 3rd floor behind the fireproofing.
During the week of December 21st, weather permitting, the work week will be a short week due to the Christmas Holiday. The work on the building exterior will continue, as will the spray fireproofing and mechanical piping and electrical conduits. The drywall contractor will also be starting the interior partitions on the third floor which will allow the mechanical, plumbing and electrical contractors to begin their in-wall work.
