Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s weekly updates are here to inform our patients and community as the progress continues on our Expansion Project. We hope you find these updates informative as we work towards expanding our services to meet the growing needs of our community.
This week the community should see the contractors finishing the 3rd floor concrete deck. The roofing contractor will be installing the roof insulation and roof membrane. The mechanical and electrical contractors will be continuing to install supports for all of the piping and conduit that will eventually be above the ceiling. On Thursday night, November 12th, the new permanent water service to the new building will be connected. The drywall and metal stud contractor will be working on the exterior stud wall, as well as, laying out partitions on the floors. We also look forward to receiving a major piece of mechanical equipment this week. The air handling unit for the HVAC system is to arrive Friday, November 13th, for installation in the second floor mechanical room.
Weather permitting, during the week of November 16th, the schedule includes finishing the roofing, as well as, completion of the first floor concrete deck pours excluding the Ambulance Bay. The mechanical and electrical trades will continue placing their supports and core drilling for floor penetrations. The drywall contractor will continue on both the exterior stud wall and some interior framing. We hope to see some of the exterior sheathing going up if everything goes as scheduled.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is extremely proud on how well this project is going and appreciates all of the support and interest we have received from this community for this project.
