Fairfield Memorial Hospital weekly updates are used to keep the public informed as progress continues to be made on our Expansion Project.
During the week of January 18th, the work in progress this week includes exterior stud framing, in-wall and above ceiling mechanical and electrical rough-in on the 3rd floor and drywall on the 3rd floor. The yellow coloring that can be seen on the outside of the expansion project is an air barrier that is being installed on the weather barrier in order to prepare for the brick masonry work to begin. Brick work is slated to begin this week. Spray fire proofing of the 2nd floor should be completed by the end of the week or early next week.
During the week of January 25th, weather permitting, the work scheduled for this week includes continuing the brick and block work on the East elevation. Additional exterior stud framing and sheathing will be installed. Work on 2nd and 3rd floor mechanical and electrical rough-in will continue, as well as, interior framing on the 2nd floor. Framing on the 1st floor should also begin.
The expansion project is running on schedule and Fairfield Memorial Hospital appreciates all of the support and interest that has been received from our community for this project.
