The 2022/2023 season was historic for Carmi-White County basketball as the boy’s team had near record wins for the program. First Bank has been making great things happen since 1893 and continues to do so through great partnerships in the communities they serve. This hoops season, First Bank teamed up with WRUL Sports in a buckets for buckets promotion. For every three-pointer sunk in a CWCHS varsity game, First Bank is making a $3 donation to Unit 5 Schools. First Bank Community Relationship Manager, Luke Sailer says, “Giving back to the community is what First Bank is all about. Not just financially, but also with our time and resources. Carmi is our home and we are honored to be a part of it and look forward to helping our community grow and prosper for years to come.”
On the season, CWCHS student athletes poured in 275 treys; 162 for the boys’ squad while the girls team contributed 113 buckets from beyond the arc. That equals an $825 donation to Carmi-White County Unit 5 Schools courtesy of the fine folks at First Bank. The team at First Bank are committed to community and making real partnerships based on knowledge, and trust. Learn more at http://www.myfirst.bank.
