Ferrell Hospital is pleased to announce the reopening of Ferrell Hospital Family Practice on Monday, August 19, 2024, following several weeks of closure due to extensive flood damage. This reopening comes on the heels of the successful reopening of the main hospital on Monday, August 5, which has been operating smoothly since then.
The Family Practice clinic, located inside the hospital at 1306 Maple Street in Eldorado, has undergone a thorough restoration and received approval from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
“This reopening marks a significant milestone in our recovery efforts,” said Ferrell CEO Tony Keene. “It’s a testament to the resilience of our staff and the unwavering support of our community. We’re excited to resume providing the high-quality care our patients deserve and expect, not just in our main hospital but now in our Family Practice clinic as well.”
Ferrell Hospital extends its deepest gratitude to the community and staff for the patience and understanding shown during this challenging time.

The reopening will see the return of Family Medicine Physicians Drs. Nathan Oldham, Jared Mitchell and Samantha Mosby, along with providers Casey Carlile, FNP; Katie Jackson, PA-C; Megan Mitchell, FNP; Susan Sigler, FNP; and Melissa Welge, FNP. Specialty services including Oncology/Hematology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Pain Management, Rheumatology, General Surgery, Urology and Wound Care will also resume.
“The past few weeks have been a challenge, but they’ve also shown the true strength of our healthcare team and our community,” Keene said. “We’ve emerged from this setback more determined than ever to serve our patients. Our facilities have been fully restored, and in many ways, improved. The smooth operation of our main hospital since its reopening on August 5 has paved the way for this next step. We’re not just reopening; we’re setting a new standard for healthcare in our region.”
