At Tuesday night’s meeting of the Enfield Village Board, because of many people inhabiting the park at all hours of the day, the Board voted to change park hours to from sunrise to one hour after sunset, with exceptions for approved functions.
They also approved a $250 donation to the White County Sheriff’s Department for participation in the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force. Officer Nathan Poore just recently graduated from the Police Academy.
In the Police Report, things have been pretty quiet, except for one report of theft of some Christmas decorations.
Mayor Tom Harbour sad there were lots of kids to see Santa Claus this past Sunday, the biggest crowd in a long time.
The Sportsmen Club donated $100 to the Village for its Christmas display. Booth School students will be singing Christmas carols throughout the village on Tuesday, December 22nd, and the Mayor wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
