An Enfield man believes he saw the vehicle driven by a suspect he says stole the spare tire off his truck in the wee hours of Saturday morning. 57 year old Greg Beavers reported to a White County Sheriff’s Deputy that he saw a strange vehicle parked across from his property at around 12:30am and described it as an older red SUV, perhaps a Chevy Tahoe with only one operable headlight. In addition to the spare tire being taken, Beavers says he thinks they also siphoned five gallons of gas from the truck and stated he found the jack handle still in the bumper from where the suspect or suspects lowered the spare tire from under the truck bed. The Deputy filed the report as theft under $500.
